Philippines - Destination to watch in 2013

The year 2013 is a very good year to look forward to for the Philippines. This once unknown country in some parts of the world is becoming a hot travel destination for serious divers and beach bums all over the world; predicting that 2013 is going to be big for the country's tourism industry

Condé Nast Traveller in its online magazine included the Philippines in its "Top 10 hot destinations that will be big news for travellers in 2013."

A must see places mentioned in the article are Bicol, a province in the Visayan region where travellers can swim with huge but gentle whale sharks; Siargao, perfect for deep-sea fishing; and of course Palawan, which according to them, is a package that tick all the boxes if talking about palm-fringed white-powder beaches, crystal-clear turquoise waters, and natural lagoons for wild swimming - protected all by UNESCO.

The article specified that the Philippines is "particularly popular among serious divers, who come for the incredible underwater life, unspoilt coral gardens with rainbow-bright fish, green sea turtles and dugongs."

And at the end of the article is a short yet powerful line that goes "Sorry, Maldives... We love you, but we've got a new flame."

    1. Oh yeah. I highly recommend yo visit the beaches of Palawan and the UR too. Beaches are really great especially in El Nido. Stepping onto the sand is already a way too great a feeling. How much more if you dip in its azure and clean waters?

    1. Dapat level up na talaga. Wishing our tourism would mature the fastest and set aside personal interests. We should really work harder and make our country a safe place for tourists.

    1. Couldn't agree more. If our neighbouring countries were able to do it, why can't we ? We have over 7,000 islands with us and most are gifted with paradise beauty. Waiting for it to happen....

  6. I really love the powerful line. Philippines has many to offer and has more and better tourist attractions to visit

Two places I would like to recommend in visiting Negros:

In Negros, particularly in E.B Magalona, we have this La Rosa del Mar Resort. On Talisay, we do also have The Ruins, which was coined as the Taj Mahal of Negros

In Negros alone, there are so many places and attractions to visit, I just sighted two. On other parts of the Philippines, there are still so many

  15. The Philippines do have lots of beaches that can make it to the list of world's greatest wonders. After all, we are surrounded by body of water, so why not enhance it or maintain its natural beauty to attract more tourists that can be beneficial in terms of tourism and economy as a whole.
