Sambawan Island - Biliran

"Undiscovered Paradise" is what the province of Biliran is being dubbed. Located in the Eastern Visayas region and formerly part of the province of Leyte,  Biliran is one of the Philippines smallest and newest island provinces, achieving full-pledged provincehood in 1992. People speak Cebuano and Waray which are both Visayan languages.
Anyway, talking about island, Biliran boasts another great and beautiful islet which locals call Sambawan Island. Small compared to others yet blessed with crystal clear waters and a little stretch of white sandy beach. It is rich in marine and garden corals - and one of province's best sites for scuba and snorkelling. It also has a spectacular sunrise with stunningly beautiful view which will melt the hearts of those who dare visit.

  1. Wow, the place looks really nice. Did you take these pictures yourself? Also, is there a place near the beach you can rent?

    Much support, Christia

  3. Sambawan Island in Biliran is very beautiful. The sea is picturesque and tranquil, ideal for a summer hangout or a weekend hideaway from the busy and chaotic city life.

I love the panaromic view of Samabawan sea. It creates an ambience of tranquility as I've mentioned.

  4. They should develop this place to attract tourists to visit. However, the downside of it, commercialism will eventually destroy the natural beauty of the island. Beautiful pictures by the way.
